Weatherization Program
We are here to help you.
The Weatherization Program works to reduce the heating and cooling cost for low-income families, particularly for the elderly, people with disabilities, and families with children, by improving the energy efficiency of their homes and ensuring health and safety.
How we can help you.
The Weatherization Program reduces costs through energy efficient measures such as insulating attics, sidewalks, wrapping hot water tanks/pipe wrap, ductwork, Co detectors, smoke alarms and performing air sealing measures. Trained HVAC Specialists repair or replace heating systems with the highest efficiency equipment available.
Weatherization is a comprehensive service that begins with client education and a computerized assessment to ascertain the energy efficeincy of the heating system in a given home. Combustion testing are performed on all gas appliances in the home, as well as, assessing the WATS UP Meter on all refridgerators 10 years old or older for replacement based on their overall baseload efficiency.
The Application
The Weatherization Program serves the following counties: Cabell, Lincoln, Mason, Putnam, and Wayne Counties.
