Mason County Homeless Shelter
Founed in 1989 to provide crisis intervention.
Each family is responsible for the development of a plan to acheive independence and resolve issues related to their homelessness. Our staff is available to assist them in acheiving these goals and aid them in developing skills that may assist in preventing a recurrence. The shelter is open around the clock, seven days a week.
The services available include:
Case management focusing on obtaining a job and a permanent residence.
Emergency shelter.
Transportation on an as needed basis.
Linkage to other supportive services.
Counseling
Basic living skills training.
Parenting skills training
Food/meals
The activities of the residents of the shelter focus on independence and the services utilized vary depending on the needs of the family/resident.
The average number of individuals served annually: 121 residentially.
